The Ensemble of Mandolins ,,NOVA”

The Orchestra of Mandolins of Cultural Center Mioveni consists of elementary school students between the ages of 8 and 14 years. The orchestra’s repertoire includes Romanian folk music.

"I started studying mandolin with students from 1985, although the curriculum does not provide the study of a musical instrument, than the schools of Music and the Academy of Music ( Conservatory ). During those years, 1985-2013, I participated at various school competitions, winning three national awards.
 
The Mandolins Orchestra accompanied the school choir where I have worked for 25 years. In 2006 I was retired and I was assigned to the Cultural Center Mioveni as conductor of the orchestra of mandolins which is accompanied on the accordion by Prof. Constantin Balan, "said the choir master, Florica Arsenescu.
